ACC football faces a new level of disrespect as undefeated programs Pitt and Virginia Tech prepare for a historic matchup—yet neither ranks in the AP Top 25. Is national bias holding the ACC back, or are preseason expectations overshadowing on-field results? Miami, Clemson, and Wake Forest all find themselves battling for respect, despite impressive coaching and standout performances from names like Darian Mensah, Tait Reynolds, and Gio Lopez. The ACC Squad breaks down top storylines, including Miami vs. Clemson’s quarterback duel, Florida State’s must-win against Virginia, and how ACC coaches like Wake Forest’s Dave Clawson are overachieving with limited resources. Key conversations focus on strategic matchups in the trenches, quarterback development, and how rankings politics influence postseason hopes. Which ACC squad will silence the doubters and which program faces a season-defining weekend?
